Jessica Brachfeld

Being a photographer you meet a lot of great people. People you might not have the chance to meet on a regular basis. I am lucky enough to shoot some absolutely beautiful women on a nearly daily basis and many times I develop a friendship with them as well. Such is the case with the gorgeous and incredible Jessica Brachfeld. I first met Jessica in 2010 for a photo shoot and since then I have worked with her countless times.  I always look forward to working with Jess wherever we shoot. Especially when we shoot at her home in upstate New York and I get to see my favorite dog; her Great Dane, Dolce.  Dolce is definitely the most difficult model I have to work with but when she is on her A game no one is better ;)  I consider myself lucky that I get to call Jessica a friend and was honored when she invited me to her wedding a little over a year ago. This last shoot we did was in NY over the summer and once again we had a fantastic one. Jess always has great ideas when it comes to wardrobe and being a hairstylist (Ladies, if in need of extensions Jessica is the one to go to)  her hair is always fantastic. I always look forward to seeing and talking and shooting with her and can not wait to do it again soon. Be sure to check out some of the images from the last shoot we did and be sure to comment as well…

Mercedes G.

I first met Mercedes when she shot for Bikini Crush Swimwear late last year in Amelia island, Florida. From the moment we started shooting I knew this girl had the "it" factor. She exuded confidence in her poses and had all the looks down. The Bikini Crush shoot went great and the pics were fantastic. A few months past and we started to talk about setting up a new shoot. As we were coming up with ideas we both realized that we were very into the Guess ads and the Guess look so we decided to go for that look in an outdoor setting. During the summer in Florida your biggest enemies are heat, humidity and rain. We battled all of them. After a few rain delays we got to shoot and had to dodge some rain drops while shooting but in the end we got some amazing shots and I very much think the grey of the sky lended a hand in the shots. Mercedes is young but already on a great path leading to a great career and I am sure she will make it. Look forward to working with her more in the future...

Ellie Di Virgilio for Prolific Quarterly Magazine

Earlier this year the editors at Prolific Quarterly contacted me about shooting an editorial for their Summer 2016 issue. When they contacted me they had the model and stylist chosen already and asked me to bring in the hair and makeup. The model was Ellie and the stylist was Liberate Dolce. This would be my first time working with Ellie and Libby I was excited to shoot with both of them. I contacted one of my favorite makeup artists in the Tampa area, Ashley Mortimer and knew that she would knock it out of the park. The day came for the shoot and everyone arrived at my studio with amazing energy and ready to go. Ashley rocked the hair and makeup while Libby and I got together the outfits and looks together and figured out the order which we would shoot in.  It was a marathon day of shooting as expected and a ton of shots were taken but each look was great and Ellie kept her energy at 100% the whole time. After hours of shooting the editing process began and after a few days of going back and forth with the mag all shots were chosen and edited then the waiting process began. The Issue came out a few weeks ago and low and behold we got the cover. It was a huge honor considering all of the amazing photography in the magazine. Everyone involved in the shoot was absolutely amazing. Thank you to Ellie, Ashley, Libby and of course Prolific Quarterly for this opportunity and can not wait to do more for them. Below you can see the tear sheets directly from the magazine and I have included some exclusive shots that didn't make the issue...

Mary Kaitlin for Bikini Crush

I absolutely adore Mary Kaitlin. I only met her about a year ago but we instantly became friends and our personalities meshed perfectly. We have done a few shoots over the past year and they have all been amazing and these shoots we did for Bikini Crush Swimwear were no exception. These shoots were done on seperate days but I decided to put them into one post. Love all the shots we got and can not wait to do it again with Mary Kaitlin and Bikini Crush...

Jayden Jaymes

This was my first time working with the gorgeous Jayden Jaymes. We shot in my studio in Brooklyn and the results were fantastic. The first thing you notice about Jayden when she first walks in the door is how tall she is her striking beauty. Then you find out how sweet and genuine she is. We spent the whole shoot talking and laughing. I always love working with people who can be themselves around me; it helps to get the best pics possible. Check out the shots below from our shoot and let me know what you think...

Jasmine Fernandez - Gym Shoot

When I officially moved to Tampa in December of 2014 my first shoot was with the beautiful Jasmine Fernandez. It was my first time meeting her and I knew right away that her and I were going to be shooting a lot. Every time we shoot she brings 125% and always has an amazing attitude. For this shoot we were shooting a submission for a Model Modele Magazine that was going to be doing an issue featuring fitness girls. Jasmine and I decided to switch up our normal approach and shoot it at a local gym in Tampa. We started off around the gym and then went upstairs to this little room with terrible lighting and three heavy bags. The shots that came from that room were by far the favorites from the entire day. Can not thank Jasmine enough for always being incredible to shoot and can not wait to work with her again very soon...

Ajla B. in St. Pete

I absolutely love working with Ajla! She is stunningly beautiful and wickedly smart; an incredible combination. On top of all of that she is super sweet and 100% genuine. For this shoot we found a great spot right off of the highway in Saint Pete., Florida. We went out around 7am and worked quickly while the light was still helping us out and we were able to get some great shots. After the sun got a little to high in the sky I pushed myself to do something a little different by using studio flash outside and battling the sun. Love the shots we got and always look forward to working with Ajla again and again...

Ashley Alexiss in LA

I was super happy that I did not have to wait a long time to shoot with the gorgeous Ashley Alexiss for a second time. I loved so many images from our first shoot and I knew that our next would be just as amazing, if not, better. And as expected it was an incredible shoot. We shot in West Hollywood and did a few looks during the day. It is undeniable that Ashley is beautiful but what is even better is how amazingly kind and funny and sweet she is. I am already looking forward to our next shoot...

Chelsea in Malibu

I could probably write a novel when it comes to Chelsea. I have known her for about 2 years now and ever since day 1 we just clicked. When Chelsea walks into a room you know it instantly because every head turns her way. But beyond the beauty what makes Chelsea even more amazing is her personality. She is absolutely one of the sweetest and most loving people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Chelsea is now living in California and she was kind enough to let me crash at her place for a few days while I was there. We went to my favorite place in Malibu to do a shoot around sunset. The sunset was not super spectacular but the light it produced was magical and we got some great shots. A big thank you as well to Bikini Crush Swimwear for providing the gorgeous swimwear Chelsea is wearing...

Corsa America

This was my 4th shoot with Corsa America. Corsa is quickly becoming one of the most recognized names in the rally world and I am extremely honored to be a part of the Corsa team. It brings 2 of my worlds together; editorial glamour photography and automobile photography. Working with some of the worlds most beautiful cars and beautiful women every time is an absolute joy. Thomas and everyone involved with Corsa are incredible to be around and always make the experience fun. Here are some of the shots from this last shoot we did in Tampa...

Kerri Jenkins

I could probably write for 2 days straight about how spectacular Kerri Jenkins is and it still would not be enough time. I have been lucky enough to work with Kerri for the past 5 years on a countless amount of shoots and every time she knocks it out of the park. For this shoot we brought on one my favorite makeup artists in New York; the incredible Darian Marie. Darian crushed it as she always does and Kerri was of course amazing as always. I can not wait to work with both of these fantastic women again very soon...

Stephanie Sebotka

This was my first time working with Stephanie. We had been talking for a while about putting a shoot together and our schedules finally linked up with us both being in Tampa. We decided on a great spot in Ybor City, Florida that we heard about through the amazing Ashley Lamb. We went for a more editorial, street look for the shoot and Stephanie nailed it. Steph is a fantastic model to work with and I look forward to working with her again more in the future...

Charlotte Lambert

When I first met Charlotte we instantly clicked. The whole shoot we had a great time and laughed throughout. Since then we have done a number of shoots and every time we have had a great time. She is always up for anything and never says no to getting messy or covered in sand or glitter or paint or anything else I can think of. Charlotte is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and at every holiday she has asked me over to her family's home to celebrate with them since my family was in New York. We are always figuring out what our next shoot is going to be and I always look forward to seeing and working with her.

Becca Ashley

This was my first time meeting and working with the beautiful Becca Ashley. We had been talking for a little while about setting up a shoot and we were finally able to make our schedules sync and it was well worth the wait. Becca is fantastic! We were instantly on the same page in terms of the look we wanted to go for and the shots came out incredible. I am looking forward to working with Becca a lot more in the future.

Ashley Lamb

There are some people that come into your life and you feel like you have known them forever. Ashley is one of those people. I have only shot with her twice and yet I feel like we have been friends for a long time. It is always a great time with her and this shoot was no exception. We went to Honeymoon Island near Tampa and walked around looking for some great spots to shoot and found more than a few. Always look forward to working with Ashley and cant wait to do it again very soon...

Ajla B.

This was my first time working with the beautiful Ajla and definitely not the last. She was an absolute delight to work with and a complete professional. We decided to get out of the studio and ditch the beach and we went to a scrapyard near Tampa. We ended up in the end going to 2 different yards and at both we got great shots. Ajla also had her friend Rocco join us from Grindhouse Bullies who brought Romeo to take pics with her and he did fantastic. Looking forward to working with Ajla again soon in the future...

Brittany McDonald

I have been lucky enough to work with the beautiful Brittany McDonald on almost 10 shoots now. She was one of the first girls that I worked with when I started shooting in Tampa. We instantly clicked with each other and have since become friends as well. She has helped me get many shoots down in Florida andI can not thank her enough for all that she has done for me. I always look forward to working with her and this time was no exception. This was my first shoot of 2016 and I could not think of a better way to kick off the year. Looking forward to a great year and to making many more beautiful images...

2015

2015 was another great year for Joshua Paull Photography. I moved to Tampa in late 2014 and traveled a ton, including stops in LA, Miami, London, Paris, Texas, Seattle and many more places. Had a lot of amazing shoots and I can not thank enough all of the amazing people I worked with. Below are a few of my favorite shots from the year. I am truly looking forward to 2016 and can not wait to see what the year brings.

Jasmine Fernandez

I absolutely love working with Jasmine. Jasmine was the first girl that I shot when I moved down to Florida last December and since then we have shot a few times and each time it gets better and better. She is just an awesome person to be around and her energy and fantastic personality makes you want to shoot with her for hours on end. We did a few looks on this shoot and while many of them are going for a magazine submission here are a bunch that I loved...

Sommer Reling

I have been lucky enough to shoot with Sommer a few times over this past year and every time the shoots have gotten better. This was a fairly unplanned shoot. We talked on a Sunday night and on Monday morning we were shooting and there was no real game plan going in. Once she showed me the outfits she had brought we came up with the plan and it ended up working out beautifully. This was another fantastic shoot with Sommer and I can not wait to shoot with her more in the coming year.
